Busy Summer For WW Arts Council

West Windsor Arts Council has a busy summer ahead. Town meetings are scheduled on Wednesday, June 18, and Monday, June 30, and attendees will be asked to help in the design of arts and cultural programs in the new arts center in the Princeton Junction Fire House. Artworks, highlighting work from the West Windsor and Plainsboro schools, is on exhibit at the West Windsor Farmer’s Market on Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Concerts will be held at the Nassau Park Pavilion on Saturdays, June 21, July 29, and September 6.##M:[more]##

The organization continues with arts programming at the Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, June 21, July 12 and 19, August 9, and September 6. Gloria Nilson GMAC real estate sponsors artists Keiko Ishida to develop programming and Onessa Freasier as the market coordinator. West Windsor resident Kali McMillan, a fine arts major at Colgate University, and Natosha McVeigh, an art student at Mercer College, are assisting.

The seventh annual Summer Solstice Poetry event takes place at Nassau Park Pavilion on Sunday, June 22, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. New Jersey based poets BJ Ward and Catherine Magia read and perform their verse under the tent. Readings will also be done by students from WW-P high schools and an open mic session follows. Registration to read is recommended.
