West Windsor residents and sisters Ammu and Nandu Mandalap were the champions in the Women’s B Doubles final at the James E. Cryan Memorial Tournament held at Mercer County Park this summer.##M:[more]##
North students Evan Samet and Zach Kurfirst were champions in the B flight of the Men’s Doubles at the same tournament.
The West Windsor-Plainsboro Junior American Legion Team lost 13-3 to Wall in the District 4 tournament. The team previously had a 9-6 win over Middletown North.
West Windsor resident Patrick Park won the 50 breaststroke in 34.16 and the 200 individual medley in 2:25.97 at the Eastern Zone Long Course Championships at Potomac Valley Swimming this month. He also placed second in the 50 butterfly, and the 100 and 200 breast, and he placed third in the 100 butterfly. He swims for X-Cel Swimming.
West Windsor resident Brittany Iacouzze finished third overall and was the top female finisher at the Mid Summer Mile Ocean Swim at Lavallette Beach on August 9. She finished in 21 minutes, 12 seconds.
West Windsor resident Christina Rosca was a member of the Middle States Panthers, who competed and finished second overall at the USTA BG12 Northeast Zone Team Championships at Penn State University in July. Rosca, 10, was the youngest player on the Panthers team. In the third position on the team (which means she played against position 3 players from the other teams in her singles matches), she finished with 3 wins and two losses in singles, and two wins and two losses in doubles.
