His previous experiences including working in corporate America as president and chief operating officer of three mid-sized companies, as a human resource executive and marketing executive for a Fortune 100 company, and as director of training for a major retail department store chain.
Drum has bachelor degrees in economics and psychology, and a master’s in business administration in executive management. He and his wife, Cindy, have three grown children.
“Most people get nervous about the all-important job interview,” Drums says in a recent article in Upstage Magazine. “The process laid out in this book gives the candidate a way to plan and manage the interview process. It is a tested method that has a long history of success.”
Drum does not believe in traditional methods of preparation, such as visiting and studying company websites. His book includes an interactive exercise to aid the preparation including worksheets to organize skills, qualifications, and responses.
“After going through the process, candidates feel confident about their capabilities,” he says. “Those who take the trouble to prepare using this method improve their chances of getting hired and usually get a higher starting salary.”
