Kathy Lane and Mary Reale, both of West Windsor and members of the Princeton Area Junior Woman’s Club, were instrumental in organizing this season’s annual Wish Tree project. The group provided the Division of Youth and Family Services with more than 1,”300 gifts for children ranging from infant to 18 during the holiday season.##M:[more]##
In addition to the gifts received at MarketFair, the PAJWC coordinated wish tree locations at the West Windsor Library, PNC Bank, William M. Mercer, Peterson’s, Princeton Radiology, Hill Wallack, ITXC, Scholastic Books, and Century 21 Carnegie.
“West Windsor-Plainsboro and East Windsor Girl Scouts continued their support of our cause by creating many beautiful ornaments with which we use to hang the wish tags,” says Lane. “We couldn’t have done it without them and their generosity of time, money and creativeness.”
Another West Windsor resident, Lisa Pappas, helped coordinate the provision of more than 80 gifts. Monetary donations received by two West Windsor residents helped make every wish come true, including one entire family in need. Borhen’s Moving Company transported the gifts from the wish tree locations to the Division of Youth and Family Services in Trenton.
The PAJWC, based in West Windsor, is a chapter of the New Jersey State Federation of Woman’s Clubs and has been in existence for close to 35 years.
