Mariam Nazarian, born in Armenia, and raised in Plainsboro, performs as a piano soloist at Princeton Symphony Orchestra’s concert on Sunday, March 11, at 4 p.m. in Richardson Auditorium. Nazarian made her debut at the age of eight with the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia. Her U.S. debut was in 1995 with solo recitals in Washington, D.C. In 1999, at the age of 16, Nazarian (under the name Marie Nazar) made her Carnegie Hall debut as the youngest pianist in Carnegie’s history to perform J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations. Her debut CD was released the same year. She graduated from the Mannes College of Music and is pursing a graduate degree at Harvard University.
