On Tuesday, April 17, residents of West Windsor and Plainsboro will be asked to vote on a budget that includes a 4.3 percent increase in spending (see related story.) Also on the Ballot will be a referendum on whether to change the apportionment of taxes between the two towns (see related story.) West Windsor residents will also make a choice on which people will be put in charge of making school budget decisions for the next three years.
Ellen Walsh, the school board incumbent from Plainsboro, is running unopposed for the township’s lone seat in this election. But school board president Hemant Marathe and vice president Robert Johnson will face competition to keep the West Windsor seats they currently hold.
Newcomers Jay Bryant and Michael Donnelly are challenging the two current members of the nine-person school board. Brett Boal, who ran unsuccessfully last year, has entered the race again.
