Community Middle School students received medals and certificates at the recent National History Day held at William Paterson University. Of the 33 students who participated, 16 were recognized for excellence.##M:[more]##

Emma McGregor: Junior Historical Paper Category, Best Research of a Technology Topic. Christie Dougherty: Junior Historical Paper Category and Best Use of Newspapers in a Research Paper

Varnika Atmakuri, Aneesha Raghunathan, and Ananya Yalamanchi: Junior Group Performance Category and Best Use of Newspapers in a Group Performance.

Nicholas Sun received third place in the Junior History Paper Category.

The following have been chosen as the New Jersey representative entry at the National History Day Competition.

Nitya Sivakumar: Junior Individual Documentary Category. Joyce Wang and Olivia Hu: Junior Group Exhibit Category. Thea Ma and Ingrid Ma: Junior Group Documentary Category. Lavanya Ganesh: Junior Individual Performance. Varnika Atmakuri, Aneesha Raghunathan, and Ananya Yalamanchi: Junior Group Performance Category. Kevin Dwyer: Junior Individual Performance Category.
