Samuel Saltiel, 88, of New Brunswick, died June 20 in St. Peters University Hospital, New Brunswick. Survivors include a sister, Esther Rosa of Plainsboro.

Raymond S. Papszycki Sr., 85, of West Windsor died June 20 at Robert Wood Johnson Hamilton. He was born in Trenton.

He worked at De Laval Steam Turbine Company before serving with the U.S. Navy. A police officer with the Trenton Police Department, he retired as captain of the detective bureau after 30 years.

Survivors include his four children and their spouses, Ronald W. and Carol of Phillipsburg, Raymond S. Jr. and Jane of Cranbury, Gary M. and Brenda of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sharon J. and James Maguire of Freehold; his seven grandchildren, Brian and his spouse Ruth of Buffalo, New York, Cailin of Arlington, Virginia, Meghan of Cranbury, Matt and Kelley of Nashville, Tennessee, Tom and Amy of Nashville, Tennessee, and Elise and Evan Maguire of Freehold. Also surviving is his former wife Jean Papszycki of Mercerville; his sister Dorothy Gulyas of Trenton; and his sister-in-law, Lorraine Papszycki.

Jamie L. Cammarata, 26, of South Plainfield died June 23 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, after a long battle with leukemia. Survivors include a sister, Tammy Diem of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 116 Euclid Avenue, Westfield 07090.

Bonnie W. Taft, 81, of West Windsor died June 23 in the University Medical Center at Princeton.

Born in Gretna, Virginia, she was a resident of the Grovers Mill area for many years. She retired from the First National Bank of Princeton, currently Bank of America, after 36 years of employment, being assistant manager for the last 10 years.

Survivors include a son, Fred A. Taft III of Lynnwood, Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Robert Oliver of Hopewell; two grandchildren, Brian and Laura Oliver; two sisters, Margaret Rowland of Virginia and June Carter of West Virginia.

Leslie B. Nash, 46, of Fort Myers, Florida, died June 23. Survivors include her parents, Bruce and Sandra Duffy of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the National Audubon Society, Department W, 700 Broadway, New York, NY 10003.

Rose Hanna, 87, of Plainsboro died June 27 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born and raised in Paterson, she lived in Plainsboro for the past five years.

She retired in 1979 after 15 years of service with Kodak. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Ernest Valeo of West Windsor; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Anne Engelmann of East Goshen, PA; and three grandchildren, Katherine, Christine, and Robert and his wife Meghann Morris Valeo.

Vincent F. Meseroll, 90, a longtime resident of West Windsor died June 27 at the Elms of Cranbury. Born and raised in Highland Park, he received his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Rutgers, Class of 1938. He was with the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1946 and in the reserves until 1954.

Meseroll retired from the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth in 1987 where he was part of the team that developed the electronic countermeasures and avionics for the first Black Hawk helicopterl. Prior to his career with the Army he was a maintenance engineering manager with the Union Carbide.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Margaret Wallace, and his son and daughter in law, Dennis James and Sumittra Meesuwan Meseroll of Bangkok, Thailand.

John Joseph, 76, of Pompano Beach, Florida died June 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Survivors include a sister, Marie of West Windsor. Donations may be made to Children’s Aid Club, care of Quadrino 800 SE 13th Court, Pompano Beach, Florida 33060.

Albert R. Weisel, 88, a Plainsboro native who lived in Hightstown, died June 30 in Water’s Edge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Trenton. Weisel, who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of Operating Engineers Local 825 for many years, and a life member of Hightstown Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Holderman Weisel; a daughter, Susan Moss of St. Petersburg, Florida; a son, Richard Weisel of Hightstown; a sister, Arlene Jennings of Trenton; three brothers, Calvin of Manchester Township, Harold of Pauling, New York, and Joseph Weisel of Port Charlotte, Florida; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and four stepchildren and their families, Britt Hughes, Cecil Douglas Hughes, Merritt Hughes, and Benjamin Hughes.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 7, at 10 a.m. at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury. Family and friends may call Friday, July 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Isett Baker, age 97, of Wynnewood, Pennsylvania died June 29. Survivors include a daughter Virginia B. Jackman of West Windsor.

Gilberte Aurore Diana, 93, died June 29 in Groton, Connecticut. Survivors include a daughter Isabelle Perry of West Windsor; and grandchildren Daniel, Becky, and Benjamin Perry. Bernice D. Tamor Dickerman, 85, of Monroe Township died on July 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth Dickerman and Richard Arons of West Windsor; and grandchildren Dana Lewisohn and Whitney Arons. Kathryn W. Davies, 90, of West Pittston, PA, died July 1 in Wilkes Barre. Survivors include a granddaughter, Jean L. Miller of Plainsboro. Donations may be sent to Hospice Care of the VNA at Heritage House, Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18704.

Frank J. Inverso, 80, of Hamilton died July 2 at Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Francis Medical Center, Trenton. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Denise Inverso of West Windsor. James Hilton Lamont Gunkel, 78, of West Windsor died on July 2 at home. He was a founding member of Prince of Peace Church in West Windsor.

Born in Welland, Ontario, he attended the Admiral Farragut Academy and graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Drexel Institute of Technology, Class of 1954. Active in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 14 years, he retired in 1963. His career in computer systems analysis spanned 40 years and included National Dairy, the Federal Reserve Bank, NASDAQ, McGraw Hill, and the North Ocean Hospital System before his retirement in 1994. Gunkel received a Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award for his many years of service.

Survivors include his wife Jean; sister Diane; three children; and seven grandchildren. His funeral service will be Saturday, July 7, at 10 a.m., at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 177 Princeton-Hightstown Road, West Windsor, Viewing will be Friday, July 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. Donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America or to Martin House, 802 E. State Street, Trenton 08606.
