Christabelle D’Souza and Madhavi Paratkar chaired the inaugural First Dad’s Appreciation event at Town Center Elementary School. In honor of Father’s Day, dads were invited by the PTA to accompany their children before school for a special event in their honor. More than 100 fathers and 125 children attended the event. Donuts, juice, and coffee were donated by area businesses including Dunkin’ Donuts, Wegmans, and the Asian Food Market.
At the conclusion of the event, fathers accompanied students to their classrooms where they had an opportunity to greet teachers. The PTA membership of 544 includes 150 members who are fathers.
