West Windsor Library is holding open auditions for children, ages 8 to 17, and adult actors for the upcoming Halloween Playfest. Five original Halloween-themed short plays aimed at young adults will be performed in late October. Maurer Productions Onstage has open auditions for a musical version of “The Emperor’s New Clothes” on Saturday, August 4, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, August 5, from noon to 6 p.m. Room location posted at Kelsey Theater. “Through Our Eyes,” an original musical about special needs individuals is returning to Kelsey Theater in September. Needed are two teen boys and two teen girls who can sing and dance, one African American male who can sing, special needs individuals ages 14 to 40, people of any age for the chorus, an assistant stage manager, and a crew.
