Senopoulos has been painting landscapes along the East Coast for more than 20 years, primarily in watercolor and mixed media. Born and raised in Red Bank, Senopoulos enjoyed growing up with the ocean and rivers to paint. She is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University and owned a graphics design firm in Washington, D.C. There she met her husband, Harry, and they eventually returned to New Jersey to be near grandparents and cousins. Their children are Nicki and Alex.
Senopoulos gave up her graphic design business and has been focussing on painting. Sometimes painting on site, she usually takes photos for reference and detail.
She finds inspiration in depicting suburban areas, with their inherent mix of raw nature and development. She also provides architectural watercolor renderings for real estate marketing specialists, builders, and architects.
Senopoulos has displayed her work at numerous exhibitions and juried shows. In 2006 she received the “Spirit of Princeton Academy” Watercolor Award and she received the first place award at the Garden State Watercolor Society Annual Associate Juried Show in 2005.
Tarantino has drawn and painted since childhood. She has a degree in art education and has taught art for kindergarten through high school, as well as adult classes.
Tarantino began the study of watercolor in 1998. Her paintings reflect her love of fine drawing and the subtleties of bold color that appear with directed lighting. She has won numerous awards and recognition for her paintings. Recently she has begun exploring weaving with watercolor paintings.
She is an exhibiting member of the Guild of Art at Shrewsbury, the Pine Shores Art Association, and Watercolorists Unlimited of Princeton. Her paintings are represented at the Watermark Gallery. She is an associate member of the Garden State Watercolor Association and an elected member of the New Jersey Watercolor Society.
She and her husband, Robert, the president of DataRam on Princeton-Hightstown Road in West Windsor, have two children, Paul and Mara. They maintain a summer home in North Beach, Long Beach Island.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Auxiliary at University Medical Center at Princeton. A portion of the proceeds from this show will benefit Maternal Child Health at University Medical Center at Princeton. — Lynn Miller
