West Windsor-Plainsboro announced the semifinalists in the 53rd annual National Merit scholarship Program. These scholastically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for merit scholarship awards.##M:[more]##
High School North students include Maria Aristova, Carolyn L. Breden, Augustus Chang, Yining Hanm, Katherine T. Li, Peter P. Maa, Logan S. Maingi, Priya H. Marathe, Monika M. Mostowy, Amandeep S. Pandher, Ragini Sharma, and Chung Yi.
High School South students include Dorothy Ahn, Daphne Ezer, Ian A. Frankel, Neha A. Gavai, Catherine Greenman, Tiffany Huang, Preethi Jothi, David L. Ku, Kimberly Q. Li, Krista A. Merrill, Melissa Ogden, Hugh E. Owens, Charlene Seto, Harry Subramanian, Catherine Y. Wei, Eugenia L. Yu, Weiye Zhang, and William Zhuang.
To be considered for a Merit Scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements and advance to the finalist level of the competition. About 90 percent of the semifinalists are expected to become finalists and approximately one-half of the finalists will be selected as merit scholarship winners.
