“I am very excited about this exhibit because it complements my new book featuring photographic treasures from the Olympics,” said Druckman. His book, “Gold Medal Impressions: A Gallery of Olympic Photographs,” may be purchased for $50 at the West Windsor gallery on Princeton-Hightstown Road. He is already working on a second book of photographs from the Olympics and gearing up for a third one on the athletic heroes of the past 25 years.
“My portfolio continues to offer the visual stories of spectacular professional athletes in the NFL, Major League Baseball and the NBA, but I am most proud of the many outstanding Olympians, and their memorable moments, captured in my work.” Druckman has attended nine Olympics and is preparing to travel to Beijing, China next year for his 10th, the 2008 Summer Games.
Druckman also features the college stars of Rutgers, Georgetown, North Carolina, and many others. “I have wonderful displays of the Rutgers’ women on the basketball court,” said Druckman. “Their poise and class are evident in every photograph and their teamwork and unity comes through.”
Druckman and his wife, Joan, are longtime West Windsor residents. A mathematics tutor in the area, she is also the author of “Memory Emory,” a children’s book also for sale at the gallery.
Their three sons graduated from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School (now South). Michael and his wife, Andrea, live in Bethesda, Maryland, with their two children. Gregory and his wife, Robin, live in Stamford, Connecticut, with their two children. Steven and his wife, Vanessa, live in Ridgewood with their three children.
Druckman also boasts a full complement of photographs highlighting local sports teams and players. “I am delighted to offer dynamic photographs of many of our West Windsor-Plainsboro North and South high school athletes in action,” he says. “I have the football teams, the girls as well as the boys soccer teams for both schools, girls’ field hockey teams, and cheerleaders.”
All images are available for sale in a variety of sizes, both matted and framed. Images are printed on archival paper using archival inks. “They make the best keepsakes for parents and grandparents,” said Druckman. — Lynn Miller
