Jennifer Bradley, Anna O’Connell, and Christina Sibley received Gold Awards, the highest award in Girl Scouting. The senior level award requires completion of badges, community service, leadership activities, and career exploration, as well as planning and performing a major project for the community.

Bradley’s project, “Creativity in the Outdoors,” included an overnight Girl Scout campout for more than 100, as well as a camping cookbook. A member of Troop 149, she is a student at High School North. Her leaders are Andrea Mandel and Stephanie Bradley.

O’Connell’s project, “Girl Scouts: Singing and Scouting Together,” included the creation of a choir of Cadette and Senior scouts to sing at award ceremonies. With the assistance of Brownie troops, they recorded a CD of songs.

Her project is “Celebration at the Capital.” Both O’Connell and Sibley are members of Troop 1413, led by Maria Fischer and Barbara O’Connell. They are both students at High School South.
