Born and raised in Colorado, her father was in the construction business (which took the family to Hawaii for two years) and her mother was a stay-at-home mom. “I came East to go to college and never went back,” she says. She graduated from Barnard College with a degree in biochemistry in 1981.
Her husband of 21 years, Louis, is a television network executive. Her son William, a June graduate of High School South, is a freshman at Fordham University. Their daughter, Elizabeth, is a sophomore at High School South.
Jerome is also involved with Teen League, the non-competitive softball league in town, Middlesex Chamber of Commerce, and New Jersey Women Business Owners. She is presenting “Six Steps to a Better Business” on Monday, January 23, at the group’s meeting in Somerset.
Jerome had 16 years of pharmaceutical experience with Roche Diagnostics and Covance with jobs including bench scientist, sales, and corporate communications.
“After going through a merger and a downsizing I decided to fulfill my dream to start my own company,” says Jerome. “Action International was perfect for me because it links my experience with tried and proven systems.”
“It has forced me to continue my learning and it is gratifying that all of my corporate experience is being put to good use,” she says.
