Jay Sloan, a licensed clinical social worker, is opening a new practice in West Windsor. His specialties include individual sessions for children, adolescents, adults, and couples with a focus on adolescents, family issues, addictions, and kids with attention deficit disorders. He will also work with mood disorders and stress issues.
A resident of West Windsor for eight years, he was with a group practice for five years but left to be home with his children, Madison, 8, and Olivia, 5, now both students at Dutch Neck School. His wife, Lisa, has worked in the financial world in New York City for seven years, is now doing consulting work from home.
“It’s time for me to follow my career,” says Sloan, who recently gave up his board member position on the Dutch Neck PTA, but is still an active committee member.
Born in the Bronx, he was raised in Queens, received his bachelor’s degree from Buffalo State University and his master’s in social work from Barry University in Miami, Florida. He did post graduate work in advanced clinical practice at Adelphi University.
The new practice is at 231 Clarksville Road, Suite 7A, West Windsor. Phone: 609-750-0251.
