Deaths

Mary Rita Marcinko, 98, of Aurora, Colorado, died September 21. Born in Malta, she came to the United States in 1913. Survivors include a brother, George Camilleri of West Windsor.

Elinor Foppes, 72, a former Plainsboro resident, died October 12, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, she graduated from Upsala College in 1976 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. During her lifetime she was a school bus driver in the Caldwell area; an egg inspector for the US Department of Agriculture; and in administration for Dell Publishing and United Parcel Service.

Survivors include her three daughters, Ellen “Kathy” Foppes of Plainsboro, Diane Camara of Phoenix, Arizona, and Anita Walker of Byram; grandchildren: David, Amanda, Rachel, and Jonathan. Online guestbook is at PalmBeachPost.com/obituaries.

Kenneth G. Ingebrand, 87, died October 15 at his daughter’s Monmouth Junction home. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Plainsboro for more than 30 years before moving to Clearwater, Florida, in 1986. He returned to New Jersey six months ago.

Ingebrand, who retired from PSEG in Edison as a plumber and pipefitter after 38 years with the company, was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was awarded the American Service Medal, European/African Middle Eastern Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He owned and operated Ingebrand Plantation Christmas Tree Farm.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Ingebrand; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Lindsay Robbins of Elkton, Maryland, and Ingrid and Del Andrews of Monmouth Junction; four granddaughters, and a grandson.

Elizabeth Yard, 92, of Princeton died October 17 at Merwick Care Center. Survivors include grandchildren, Dana Nini of West Windsor and Lisa Nini of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to Civil War Preservation Trust, 1331 H Street NW, Suite 1001, Washington, D.C. 20051.

William J. “Bill” Hearney III of Hamilton died October 20 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton. a teacher at Cathedral and Notre Dame high schools, he retired from Princeton Microfilm in West Windsor. Milton Stoll, 93, of Monroe Village in Monroe died October 20 at his home. Survivors include a daughter, Sarabell Stoll of Plainsboro; and grandson, Bernard Isaacson of Plainsboro.

Edward Joseph Geisler, 62, of Unadilla, New York, died October 26. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Scott Cochrane of West Windsor. Donations may be made to the Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.

William J. Carlton Jr., 69, of Plainsboro, died October 27 in the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in Rahway, he had been a resident of Plainsboro since 1983.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Janie Hostetler; two sons and daughter-in-law, Patrick Carlton of Lake Lotawana, Missouri, William J. Carlton III and his wife Lisa of Northfield; daughters and son-in-laws, Margaret and James Feely, and Denise and Roger Clarke; grandchildren, Sara Grace, Lilliana, Molly, Shane, Jim, Alexis, Brett, Brian and Kyle; his sister and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Tom Meehan; his mother-in-law, his sisters-in-law, Barbara Dickinson and Gail Wilson; nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

A licensed realtor since 1984, he worked for Fox and Lazo, ReMax, and Weidel, where he became manager in 1992. As a NJ licensed real estate instructor, he did instruction with the Weidel real estate master’s academy, and was on the State Real Estate Arbitration Board. He was a certified residential specialist and a graduate of the Real Estate Institute and Weidel Master’s Academy. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, the New Jersey Association of Realtors, Mercer County Board of Realtors, TReND Multiple Listing Service, Garden State Multiple Listing Service, Middlesex Multiple Listing Service, Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World.

He was also a member of the Hopewell Business Association and a member and designated planner of the Hopewell Economic Development Committee. He was recognized as a “Historic Property Specialist” through the National Trust for Historic Preservation of Washington DC.

He was ninth district representative of the Plainsboro First Aid Squad, and a member of the Plainsboro Republican Club. He portrayed Santa Claus for needy organizations and played trumpet with his own band, the Kingsmen.
