Deaths

Jean Pearlmutter Zellars, 105, died October 10 at Cordia Commons in Williamstown. She lived with her grandson, Steven Ianacone, his wife, Frances, and their son, Ned, in West Windsor from 2002 to 2004. Mayor Shing-Fu Hsueh presented her with a proclamation on her 101st birthday.

Born on the Russian/Poland border, she and her mother joined her father in St. Louis when she was three. Survivors also include her daughter and son-in-law, Terry and Chris Ianacone in Franklinville; daughter-in-law Janet White of Colorado Springs, Colorado, nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and three great, grand children.

Louise W. Green, 80, of West Windsor died October 31 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Trenton, she was a longtime resident of West Windsor.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Thomas J. Green Jr.; three children, Linda Emmons of Virginia, Thomas J. Green III of Hammonton, and Lorie Green of Ewing; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Frank W. Stroh, 92, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, died November 2 at Colonial Park Care Center. Survivors include granddaughter, Lucinda Cochrane of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to The CARES Foundation, 2414 Morris Avenue, Suite 110, Union 07083.

Frank Benjamin, 88, died November 5 in Plainsboro. Born in Sanford, Florida, Benjamin received his bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Florida and was a partner of the accounting firm of Joseph Hartman and Associates in Jacksonville for many years.

Survivors include his sisters Esta Sinclair and Gertrude Patterson of Jacksonville, Florida; his son and daughter-in-law Donald Benjamin and Dee Dee Dodson; and grandchildren Emily Vorp and Mark Benjamin, all of Plainsboro.

Cornelia van der Lee, 65, of West Windsor died November 8 in Capital Health System at Mercer, Trenton. Born in Indonesia, she resided here for 43 years. In 2003, she retired after 35 years as an executive vice president of Princeton Microfilm in West Windsor.

Lannie Sheffer, 66, of New Concord, Kentucky, died November 10, at home. Survivors include his step-daughter and her husband, Jill and Robert Larson of Plainsboro. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 Street, Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Martin Brodsky, 82, of Plainsboro died November 10 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he moved to Plainsboro in 1993.

A master plumber, Brodsky was employed by Merka Plumbing in Brooklyn for more than 30 years, and later worked at the Brooklyn Developmental Center. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his sons and daughter-in-law, Neil and Monaca Brodsky of Barnegat, and Fred Brodsky of Plainsboro; and grandchildren Allison and Carri-Anne.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Virginia A. Meissner, 67, a longtime Plainsboro resident, died November 12 at the Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Phillipi, West Virgina, she worked for Walker Gordon Farms in Plainsboro, and retired from Dataram in West Windsor.

Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Pamela Nazario of Hamilton, and Patricia and Arnold Kish of Spotswood; son and daughter-in-law Jack and Rose Ann Sinclair of Hamilton Township; stepchildren and their spouses Robert and Stephanie Meissner of New Egypt, Curtis and Debby Meissner of Plainsboro, and Jane and Richard Cormack of East Windsor; grandchildren, Jennifer, Alysa, Salvador and Tina Nazario, Ginger B. Sinclair and Jackie W. Sinclair Jr., and Justin and Jessica Kish; step grandchildren, Sophie, Robert and Joseph Meissner, and Kim Cormack; and great-grandchildren, Jovanni and Joel Nazario.
