Little Mermaid
Casting has been completed for the West Windsor-Plainsboro Dance Company’s “The Tale of the Little Mermaid,” which will premier Saturday and Sunday, April 9 and 10, at Grover Middle School.
Mollie Stern, 16, will play the featured role of Ariel. She is a junior at High School South.
Other leads include Alicia Wezel from High School South as Ursula, Jennifer Rogers from Grover Middle School as Sebastian, and Alison Richman from High School North as Flotsam. Community Middle School students include Marissa Wiener as Scuttle and Hope Jin as Flounder.
The production is choreographed by Roni Wilityer, Amy DeCesare, and Victoria Chodrow. Loosely based on the 1836 novel, “The Little Mermaid,” by Hans Christian Anderson, creative and musical twists to the classic tale of love and adventure have been added.

Master Gardeners
Three West Windsor residents recently became members of the Master Gardeners of Mercer County. Joanne Hurley, Cathy Savage, and Patti Vinci, members of the Class of 2005, celebrated at a graduation ceremony held at Rutgers Cooperative Research and extension of Mercer County. This is the 11th class to graduate in Mercer County.
They completed 60 hours of instruction by Mercer County Horticulturist Barbara J. Bromley, faculty from Cook College of Rutgers University, and other horticultural experts in a wide variety of related subjects. They also completed at least 60 hours of volunteer service to Mercer County.
