Kristen Robinson of West Windsor is playing a flying monkey and is in the ensemble. She is a rising freshman at High School South.
Eric Leiggi of West Windsor portrays the munchkin mayor. He is a seventh grade student at Grover Middle School.
Drew Nelson of Plainsboro, also a munchkin, is a fourth grade student at Millstone River School.
While most are familiar with the MGM 1939 award-winning film based on the 1889 novel “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” by L. Frank Baum, the musical “The Wizard of Oz” premiered at the Grand Opera House in Chicago in 1902. It opened in 1903 on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre and became the longest running show of the decade. This production is directed by Diane Wargo with musical direction by Nancy Snyder.
