Michael D. Carolus, 38, of West Windsor died November 29 at University Medical Center at Princeton. He was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia.##M:[more]##
He received a doctorate degree from Princeton University and was a chemist at Evans Analytical Group in East Windsor.
Survivors include his mother, Karen Walsh Carolus; wife Julia Owen Carolus; son Augustus Carolus; brother Jacob Paulson; and sisters Tami Audeh and April Johnson.
Sylvia G. DePiano, 82, of West Windsor died November 29 at home. Born in Red Bank, she lived in the West Windsor area for more than 50 years.
Survivors include sons and daughter in law, Anthony F. DePiano of West Windsor and Edwards and Diane DePiano of Hamilton; daughter and son-in-law Joanne and Bernie Cunningham of Leesburg, Virginia; grandchildren Jessica and Cara Depiano, and March and Mary Cunningham.
Donald E. Wise, 62, of West Windsor died while hiking in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area on December 3. Born in Los Angeles, he moved to West Windsor in 1976.
Chairman of the Department of Management Sciences at Rider University, his company, Wise Consulting, provided computer and network services for Nassau Presbyterian Church, Trinity Counseling Service, and the Center of Theological Inquiry, and statistical analysis for other clients.
A graduate from California State College at Los Angeles, he received a doctorate in economics as from Claremont Graduate School in 1971. Research from his dissertation on economics aspects of migrant agricultural laborers continue to be cited.
He moved to West Windsor in 1976 to work as a consultant to Mathematica, now Mathtech. A longtime member of Nassau Presbyterian Church, he served the Presbyterians of New Brunswick and was chair of the committee on ministry. He was a Little League coach and a referee at area youth soccer events.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Helen; daughters and son in law, Katharine and Bill Pinches of Frostburg, Maryland, Jenny of Freehold, Mary Helen of West Windsor; sons, Ryan of Boston and Matthew of Pitzer College, Claremont, California; brother and sister in law Roy Wise and Maggie Bruck of Baltimore; grandsons, Andrew Colin, and Timothy Wise Pisches of Frostburg, Maryland; and niece Lindsay Wise of Boston.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, at 11 a.m. at Nassau Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau Street, Princeton.

Ellen G. Mobarek, 56, of West Windsor died December 3 at University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Cairo, Egypt, she lived in Yorktown Heights, New York, for 14 years before moving to West Windsor 17 years ago. She was a graduate of the Leonardo da Vinci School of Architecture.
As an architect, she worked at a mapping company in New York prior to becoming a stay-at-home mother to raise three children. A licensed real estate agent, she worked for an ERA agency. She was employed by Wachovia Bank for the past 10 years and was recognized for outstanding sales and service.
She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dutch Neck, where she served as a deacon and was involved with mission trips.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Maurice Mobarek; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Melanie Mobarek of Maryland; daughters and son-in-law Marie and Dan Marquardt of Voorhees and Christina Mobarek of West Windsor; brother Yousef Dawood of West Windsor; grandson Ethan Michael; an aunt Marcelle Shoukry of Canada; and relatives in Canada, New York, and Egypt.

Thomas J.Ferrara, 83, of Monroe died December 3. Survivors include a son, Thomas Ferrara of Plainsboro.

Esther Frances Engelke, 87, of West Windsor died December 4 at the Applegarth Care Center in Monroe. A resident of Penns Neck for most of her life, she graduated from Princeton High School and Rider College.
As a young woman she worked at Walker-Gordon in Plainsboro. She later worked in highway engineering with the Navy, C.S. Sincerbeaux in Princeton, and DeLeuw, Cather and Company in New York City. The New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway were among the many projects she worked on. She retired in 1981 as the principal highway engineer with the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
She was a member of Princeton Baptist Church of Penns Neck and the West Windsor Senior Citizens. She was a model for two Seward Johnson sculptures.
Survivors include her sister Louise Connolly, her niece and her husband, Susan and David Parris; and three grand nephews, William, Daniel, and Timothy Parris, all of Penns Neck.

Marion H. Stults, 96, of Monroe Township died December 7 at Monroe Village Assisted Living. Born in Pemberton, she was a longtime West Windsor resident.

Steward of Vineland; two step-daughters and husbands, Muriel and Merton Dey of Columbus, and Gloria and Edward Kolpack of Siler City, North Carolina; a sister, Helen B. Engle of Pemberton; two step granddaughters, one great-granddaughter; two step great great grandsons; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dorothy L. Hamer, 86, died December 8 at the Masonic Home of NJ in Burlington Township. Born in Trenton, she had lived in Hamilton Township for 50 years.
