Connor McElwee, who recently completed eighth grade at Thomas Grover Middle School, was this year’s recipient of the National Football Foundation Delaware Valley Chapter’s Pop Warner Little Scholar award. The chapter held its 45th Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards dinner at the Hyatt Regency to recognize area high school seniors and football coaches. It also chooses one Pop Warner football player from middle school who has shown exceptional achievement in the classroom and in the community. McElwee is training this summer to be a member of the freshman team at High School South.
